Straight from Montmarte a new book for our library under construction.
The thing I like best about my job is the opportunity it gives me to meet people from all around the world, each of whom is different, interesting and unique, each with his or her own story to tell…Today Olivia, a delightful young Parisienne who works in a small library in Montmartre (I know, it sounds like a film, but I swear it’s true), gifted me this book, the first French book for our little “library under construction”, and she also left me this wonderful dedication…thank you, Olivia.
THE LITTLE LIBRARY – a work in progress
What could be more relaxing than immersing yourself in a good book in the shade of a cypress tree on a sleepy summer afternoon?
That’s exactly what you can do at the Villa, where, starting this season, you will find a small library – very much a work in progress – with our selection of books for you to read during your holiday.
Why are we calling it a “work in progress”? Because you, too, can help to enrich it by deciding to donate a title in your own language, so that guests who come after you can enjoy it, too.
